THE UNCONSCIOUS MIND VERSUS GOOD AND BAD HABITS

Our beliefs are held in the unconscious part of the mind, and because hypnosis can allow one to better access this unconscious activity, it can be therefore used as a powerful tool in either weakening your unhealthy beliefs and strengthening certain healthy beliefs.

The unconscious mind cannot distinguish between a good habit and a bad habit. When you establish healthy unconscious patterns, your mind will support healthy habits. So, in order to change your behaviour, we first need to change your unconscious mind.

We will begin our sessions by exploring what satisfaction the unconscious derives from your unhealthy beliefs, lifestyle patterns or habits. Then we will transfer that satisfaction onto something that is more advantageous and beneficial. You will learn to rationalise your unhelpful beliefs and as a consequence you will find it easier to maintain healthier and more optimistic lifestyle.

FAST, LONG-LASTING RESULTS

Most clients want to know how many sessions they need to have before the change will manifest itself. My answer is always the same. The speed of the change will be fuelled by the efforts of our teamwork, which will also affect the quality of the assessment, commitment to the therapy, honesty and everyday practice of the techniques you will learn during the course of the therapy.

Clinical studies of hypnotherapy have demonstrated its effectiveness and long-term results. The research literature on Hypnosis is extensive. The endorsements of hypnosis for its healing effectiveness continue to mount. In a recent report, it was revealed that a panel of the National Institutes of Health has endorsed the wider use of hypnosis for use in conjunction with conventional medical care.

SAFE, GENTLE, EFFECTIVE TECHNIQUES

We will work together to identify your unhealthy beliefs-demands and your healthy negative beliefs-preferences so you can weigh their pros and cons. Then we rationalise them and create new more realistic preferences. This will help you to free yourself from your old unhelpful beliefs and consequently allow you to move on in a more optimistic direction.

You will simply learn to become your own therapist with a set of very useful and hands on techniques, which will be practiced in the session and also outside of the session in the form of home assignments. These will be always discussed and agreed beforehand.
